Our March chapter meeting will be held on Thursday, 3/21. We welcome Timothy Viskocil, Commissioner for the Federal Mediation & Conciliation Services. He will speak to us on conflict in the workplace - an area I am sure we HR Professionals are all too familiar with. He will explore recent findings that are shedding light on how our brains function and how we can be more effective in preventing, managing and resolving conflict. The Greater Lorain County SHRM chapter does not hold a meeting in December; we know how busy our members are! . Happy New Year We're working on what we hope to be a wonderful 2012! Please note, there will NOT be a chapter meeting in January. Beginning February 16th, monthly chapter meetings will be held the 3rd Thursday of the month from approximately 11:30am-1:00pm and we're working on getting some great speakers lined up that we think you'll enjoy. In addition to our monthly meetings, members will have the opportunity to participate in a few additional networking opportunities both in person and via social media.
